Club Coaches

 

We are fortunate to have many experienced coaches at HSVCC working with all our players; from the youngest (All Stars) right through to our senior players. Here’s the team:

James Clack- Head Coach (Adult Men's)

James recently joined the Club's coaching team. He holds an ECB Level 2 Coach qualification, and brings many years of experience to the role.  For Season 2026, James will be leading the adults in training sessions. James also plays for Wiltshire Seniors +50s team.

Peter Newbery- Head Coach (Juniors) & Junior Coordinator

Pete is a vastly experienced ECB Level 2 Coach and this season will be leading the Under 13’s squad. Pete was awarded the Coach of the Year Award 2023 (Wiltshire). Pete will also be skippering the 2nd XI in 2026.

Dan House (All Stars Lead)

Dan is the Club Captain and another ECB Level 2 Coach. Alongside his Sunday morning commitments with All Stars, Dan will  work alongside James running training sessions for the men’s adults. He is also a Deputy Head and head of PE teacher at Kingdown School.

 

Justin Wagstaff (Dynamos Lead)

Justin leads the Under 9s (Dynamos) programme. Justin is a hugely experienced ECB Level 2 Coach who has coached all age groups for many years. He was named the ECB Coach of the Year for Wiltshire in 2017 and in 2023 received the ECB Award for Outstanding Services to Coaching (Wiltshire). Justin also plays for Wiltshire Seniors +50s team.

Julian Allard (All Stars Activator/ Assistant (Men's Adults)

Julian is a qualified as a Foundation Level Coach. This year he will act as an assistant to most of the age groups and adults, developing coaching skills.

Graham Everitt (Under 11)

Graham is one of the Club’s Under 11s coach and age group manager.

Charlie King (Under 11)

Charlie is one of the Club’s Under 11s coach and age group manager. 

​

Gad Wiltshire (Under 13)

Gad is one of the Club’s Under 11s coach and age group manager. 

 

Simon Butler (Under 15)

Simon is a hugely experienced ECB qualified coach, who has worked with juniors from all groups. This season he will be working with the U15’s team and age group manager.

Simon Whitehead (Under 15)

Gad is one of the Club’s Under 15s coach and age group manager.

Ethan Page

Ethan is one of the Club's young coaching assistants and holds an ECB Support Coach qualification. He helps deliver All Stars.

Joe O'Connor (Club's Cricket Ambassador)

Joe is another of the Club's young coaches and he is also the Club's Cricket Ambassador. He helps with all age groups and mentors the young players. His passion for cricket is inspirational.

Andy Pragnell

Andy is an extremely experienced ECB Level 2 Coach who has worked with juniors from U9 right through to the U15s. He now predominantly works with the men’s senior team but occasionally runs junior sessions when needed. Andy is also joint Captain of the Men's 2nd XI.

​​Tom Dalby

Tom is an assistant coach to both men's and Under 15s. He works alongside all of the club’s coaching team providing essential input on welfare and safeguarding issues. He also helps coach the women’s adult team.

​​

All training sessions and matches are run by ECB qualified coaches who hold a valid ECB DBS. They have also undertaken safeguarding training and are qualified first aiders.

​
